Refund and Returns Policy

Overview

SSD — Start Smart Digital

Last Updated: September 16, 2026

At SSD — Start Smart Digital, we aim to provide high-quality digital products and professional digital services.

Because many of our products are downloadable or custom-made services, our refund policy differs depending on what you purchase.

Please read this policy carefully before completing your order.

1. Digital Products

Digital products may include:

  • AI prompt packs
  • PDF guides
  • Digital templates
  • Business resources
  • Downloadable files
  • Digital toolkits
  • Design files
  • Educational materials
  • Other downloadable products

Because digital products can be downloaded, copied, or accessed immediately, purchases are generally considered final once the product has been successfully delivered, accessed, or downloaded.

We normally do not provide refunds for:

  • Change of mind
  • Accidental purchases
  • Failure to read the product description
  • Purchasing the wrong digital product
  • Incompatibility caused by unsupported customer software
  • A customer simply deciding they no longer need the product

This does not affect any mandatory rights available under applicable consumer law.

2. When a Digital Product Refund May Be Considered

A refund or replacement may be considered if:

  • The purchased file cannot be downloaded because of an SSD technical issue
  • The download file is corrupted
  • The wrong product was delivered
  • The product is materially different from the description provided at the time of purchase
  • You were incorrectly charged more than once for the same transaction

Before issuing a refund, SSD may first attempt to resolve the issue by:

  • Resending the download
  • Replacing the damaged file
  • Providing an alternative download link
  • Correcting the technical issue

Please contact SSD Support and provide your order number and a description of the issue.

3. Duplicate Payments

If you are accidentally charged more than once for the same purchase, please contact us.

Once the duplicate transaction has been verified, the duplicate payment may be refunded to the original payment method.

Processing times may depend on the payment provider.

4. Website Development Services

Website development projects involve planning, design, development, configuration, testing, and other work performed specifically for the customer.

Once work has started, payments covering completed work are generally non-refundable.

If you cancel a website project after development has started, SSD may retain an amount covering:

  • Work already completed
  • Development hours
  • Design work
  • Configuration work
  • Purchased assets
  • Third-party services
  • Domain fees
  • Hosting fees
  • Software licenses
  • Other project expenses already incurred

Any remaining refundable amount, if applicable, will depend on the stage of the project and the agreed project scope.

5. Project Deposits

If a project requires a deposit before work begins, the deposit may become non-refundable once SSD has started:

  • Project planning
  • Design
  • Development
  • Technical configuration
  • Research
  • Content preparation
  • Purchasing third-party products or services

This is because the deposit may be used to reserve development time and cover project costs.

Any specific deposit terms provided in a quotation, proposal, invoice, or service agreement will also apply.

6. Website Design and Revision Requests

Refunds will not normally be provided because a customer changes their design preference after work has already been completed according to the approved scope.

SSD will provide revisions according to the revision allowance included in the purchased package.

Requests outside the agreed scope may require an additional fee.

7. SEO Services

SEO services involve ongoing work and cannot guarantee specific search-engine rankings, traffic, leads, or revenue.

Payments for SEO work already performed are generally non-refundable.

Refunds will not normally be provided because:

  • Rankings did not increase as expected
  • Rankings changed after a search-engine algorithm update
  • Traffic levels did not meet customer expectations
  • A particular keyword did not reach a requested position
  • The customer did not receive an expected number of leads or sales

If SSD fails to provide a paid service that was specifically included in the agreed scope, please contact us so the issue can be reviewed.

8. Social Media Marketing

Payments for social media work already completed are generally non-refundable.

This includes work such as:

  • Content creation
  • Graphics
  • Posting
  • Campaign setup
  • Account configuration
  • Marketing strategy
  • Advertising setup

SSD does not guarantee specific:

  • Followers
  • Likes
  • Shares
  • Comments
  • Views
  • Leads
  • Sales
  • Revenue

Advertising spend paid directly to social media platforms is subject to the policies of those platforms and may not be refundable by SSD.

9. Chatbot and Automation Services

Payments for chatbot development, automation setup, integration, testing, and configuration are generally non-refundable after work has started.

If an automation depends on a third-party service, SSD is not responsible for refunding costs caused by:

  • Third-party API changes
  • Platform restrictions
  • Subscription cancellations
  • External service outages
  • Third-party account suspensions
  • Changes in external platform policies

We will make reasonable efforts to correct issues within the scope of the purchased service.

10. IT Support Services

IT support fees covering completed troubleshooting, consultation, remote support, configuration, or technical assistance are generally non-refundable.

A successful outcome cannot always be guaranteed because technical issues may depend on:

  • Hardware condition
  • Third-party systems
  • Unsupported software
  • Network conditions
  • Existing configuration
  • Customer access limitations

11. Domains

Domain registrations are generally non-refundable once the domain has been successfully registered.

Domain registration fees may be paid immediately to a third-party registrar and therefore may not be recoverable.

Refunds normally cannot be provided for:

  • Incorrectly typed domain names
  • Changing your mind
  • Deciding you want a different domain
  • Domain renewal charges already processed
  • Registrar fees already incurred

Customers should carefully check the domain spelling before completing payment.

12. Hosting

Hosting refunds depend on the specific hosting package and any third-party hosting provider involved.

Fees that have already been paid to an external hosting provider may be non-refundable.

If a hosting plan includes a specific cancellation or refund period, those terms will be shown in the applicable package or service agreement.

13. Third-Party Costs

SSD may purchase third-party products or services on behalf of a customer.

Examples include:

  • Domains
  • Hosting
  • Premium WordPress plugins
  • Themes
  • Stock images
  • Software licenses
  • SaaS subscriptions
  • API services
  • Advertising spend

Once purchased, these costs may be non-refundable.

Where applicable, the third-party provider’s own refund policy will apply.

14. Subscription and Recurring Services

Recurring services may include:

  • Website maintenance
  • Hosting
  • SEO
  • Social media management
  • Chatbot subscriptions
  • Support plans
  • Other ongoing services

Customers should cancel recurring services before the next renewal date if they no longer wish to continue.

Charges that have already been processed may not be refundable for the new billing period unless otherwise required by law or stated in the applicable service agreement.

15. Sale and Promotional Items

Discounted or promotional products generally follow the same refund rules as regularly priced products.

A promotional price does not automatically create additional refund rights.

16. Returns

Because SSD primarily sells digital products and services, physical returns usually do not apply.

Digital products cannot be physically returned once downloaded or accessed.

If SSD later sells physical products, separate return conditions may apply and will be displayed for those products.

17. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

Before filing a chargeback or payment dispute, please contact SSD Support so we can try to resolve the problem.

If a chargeback is filed, SSD may provide the payment provider with relevant transaction information, including:

  • Order details
  • Download records
  • Customer communication
  • Service delivery records
  • Project progress
  • Invoices
  • Acceptance records

Fraudulent chargebacks may result in suspension of services or customer accounts where permitted.

18. How to Request a Refund Review

To request a refund review, contact:

SSD — Start Smart Digital

Website: [your SSD website URL]

Email: [your SSD support email]

Please include:

  • Full name
  • Order number
  • Email used for the purchase
  • Product or service purchased
  • Payment date
  • Reason for the request
  • Screenshots or supporting information where appropriate

Submitting a refund request does not automatically guarantee approval.

Each eligible request will be reviewed based on the product or service purchased and the circumstances of the transaction.

19. Refund Processing

If a refund is approved, it will normally be returned to the original payment method where possible.

Processing time depends on the payment provider, bank, card issuer, or payment gateway.

SSD does not control the processing time of banks or third-party payment providers after a refund has been issued.

20. Customer Responsibility

Before purchasing, customers should carefully review:

  • Product descriptions
  • Product requirements
  • Service scope
  • Pricing
  • Deliverables
  • Compatibility requirements
  • Estimated timelines

Please contact SSD before purchasing if you are unsure whether a product or service is suitable for you.

21. Consumer Rights

Nothing in this policy is intended to remove or restrict any mandatory consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Where applicable law provides greater rights than this policy, those rights will apply.

22. Changes to This Policy

SSD — Start Smart Digital may update this Refund and Returns Policy when necessary.

The latest version will always be published on our website together with its revision date.
